Newport Pagnell Swimming Club – 26^th January 2006

A visit to Dunstable for the first round of the Home Counties League saw the club struggle at the hands of stronger opposition. Although 17 personal best times were set by the squad only four first places were achieved.

Two of the first places came from the girls 11 years and under relay squad, consisting Lauren Gillies, Danielle Beaman, Sophie Reid and Christine Hooton. Lauren added an individual first in the freestyle and Christine another in the breaststroke. Both of these set new personal best times. Danielle set a personal best time in the individual backstroke event.

Other personal best times were set by Daniel Heath and Kirtsy Rice in the individual medley. The inform swimmers in the butterfly were Harry Simpson and Suzie Boddy while Chloe Errington and Paul Harvey did their thing in the breaststroke events. Paul also broke his best time in the backstroke along with Robyn Varley, Alison Reynolds and James Smith. The freestylers in form, with new personal best times, were Rory Dougal, Harry Slinger, Ella Booth and Gareth Willcox.
