Flitwick Novice + MK Time Trial
A visit to Flitwick for a Novice gala provided good results for the squad.
Club records were broken in both the girls and boys 9 years freestyle relay along with the boys 9 years medley relay. The squad also won the boys 11 years freestyle relay, the girls 15 years freestyle and medley relays and the squadron relay. The 11 years girls were too fast to qualify for any points in their freestyle relay.
In setting personal best times a number of swimmers were too fast to score points in their individual swims. These included Paul Harvey in the butterfly, Thomas Hollian in the freestyle, Taylor Saunders and Stephen Willcox in the Individual Medley and Jennifer Dean in the breaststroke.
Personal best times that also scored points for the team were achieved by Kirsten Baggeley, Joe Rice and Emily Young in the breaststroke. The butterfly proved successful for Stephen Willcox, Kirsty Rice and Carl Harris, while Ashling Baggeley, Natasha Lines, Douglas Holland, Robyn Varley and Hannah Wilson did their best times in freestyle. Three swimmers beat their previous best times in backstroke, being Elizabeth Reid, Hannah Scoltock and Matthew Rutherford. David Willcox rounded off the tally with an Individual Medley best time.
Swimmers that didn’t set new personal best times, but still won their events were Alison Reynolds in the Individual Medley and backstroke. Rachel Bull won her Individual Medley event along with Kieran Woods and Edward Baxter in the backstroke. David Willcox won his butterfly event and Daniel Heath his freestyle.
Four swimmers entered the City of Milton Keynes Swimming Club Distance Time Trials at Stantonbury Campus and came away with good results. Marie Patrick achieved three personal best times, while sister Lisa had two. Charlotte Errington and Alison Reynolds managed one each.
