2XU Compression
Calf Guards will be arriving in the UK this
summer !!
2XU with the support of the
Australian Institute of Sport have developed
compression calf guards. Never willing to copy
other companies they have researched this
concept thoroughly and designed a 50 denier
graded compression guard that is ideal for all
sports, but particularly suited to triathlon. In
fact they believe that it is the only product on
the market that is so perfectly suited to
triathletes' needs.
Triathletes often get cramp in
the transition from swim to bike and bike to
run. However, due to the nature of the sport
there is no time to attempt to put on
compression socks in transition area. This is
where 2XU have been rather clever. By developing
the calf guards out of highest quality Italian
elastines, they have woven a much stronger
graded compression than most other products on
the market. This has eliminated the need for
those irritating stirrups. This allows athletes
to wear them while swimming, either with or with
out a wetsuit. They are quick drying and ideally
should be used throughout all three disciplines.
